The Community Leadership Summit provides a forum for anyone leading a user group or organizing community events to exchange information about common practices and issues. In addition to INETA, there will be leaders from GITCA and PASS participating. Microsoft User Group Services is providing the venue. The Summit in conjunction with Tech·Ed North America 2011 in Atlanta Georgia is organized by INETA and community volunteers.

The Summit will consist of sessions, both large and small, on specific topics of mutual interest to community leaders and organizers. You will have an opportunity to learn from your peers, share your best practices, and expand your professional network that will be beneficial after the Summit.

Leadership Summit Q&A

Q:What is the cost?
A:FREE

Q:Who can attend?
A:Any community leader or organizer – community leaders include any member of a user group leadership team.

Q:Do I need to be attending Tech·Ed?
A:No, but you need to register before the deadline.

Q:What will the format be?
A:Moderated discussion sessions on topics of mutual interest, some with the entire group and then smaller discussion groups on more specific topics.

Q:Can I volunteer to help?

How can you use social networking tools to grow your user group? Have you considered augmenting your traditional audience with virtual members, or going entirely virtual? Let's discuss how Social Networking and virtualization can benefit your User Group.

Getting Others Involved: Building a Leadership Team, Recruiting Volunteers & Growing Your Membership
The more you involve others, the better the group- although that's sometimes easier said than done. Let's talk with leaders that are having to go it alone and those that have active volunteers.
